any stores selling them you can get pretty much overwhelmed by too many
options with different shapes and sizes. One TV that may be better looking
than another can cost you a small fortune despite being smaller than the
other. So there are quite many factors determining the price of your chosen
high def TV or HDTV.
What is more important when choosing a High Def
Television?
1. Room Size
Firstly your room size plays a big part of your
decision making. How big or small your room is can determine how well you are
going to enjoy the view and experience of watching high def
TV. For example you certainly don’t want to put a 60-inch high
definition TV set in a room measuring just 10 ft by 10 ft do you? When are
purchasing one, It would also help if you check with the sales person what is
the optimum viewing distance so that could give you an idea if you have ample
space in your room to place your HDTV.
2. Your Budget
How much you are willing to spend on your
high def television set is also important and in most times,
people used this budget amount to determine what size of HDTV set to
buy before considering other important factors. You can expect the cost of a
high def TV set to be anywhere between $350 to $5000 depending on
its size, make and features that come along. A 32-inch high def TV set
usually costs around $1000 and typically in the range of between $700 to
$1500 depending on your choice of brand name and nice features just to give
you an idea. Some of these features will include built-in tuner, or if it is
a stand-alone one with box top cable decoder to enable the TV set to accept
the HDTV signals being sent to your HDTV.
3. The Main Use of your HDTV
set
You have to ask yourself what you will be using the
high def television set for – is it more for HD
movies or HD Television programs? Bear in mind that television
programs are mostly broadcast in 720 lines of resolution for HD feeds. Well
what this means is that you really do not need a 1080i HDTV
set if you are mostly watching television on your set. This can bring down
the cost as well as determine the size of your HDTV set as well.
On the other hand if you are going to be primarily
watch movies in a home theatre, then it is recommended that you look for
bigger high def television set like the 1080i TV sets. These TV sets
give you 1080 lines of resolution which can give your pictures better
quality. However if you plan to use the standard high definition DVD player,
it is recommended that you get a smaller TV set . The reason for this is that
then the image will not be overblown and that may adversely affect the
picture quality.
